I'm a software engineer based in San Diego, California 🌴, currently on an extended sabbatical to focus on personal & professional growth. I've been building software for twenty-five years, most of them as an independent engineer: nine as founding engineer of Loomly.
I care about craft: thinking through trade-offs and making deliberate choices. Well-designed software is as much art as science.
In my free time, I'm a jazz pianist and avid traveler.
